Since this isn’t a food blog, you won’t find my testament of love to canned meat (or what’s passed to look like it). This post is a story of how after some neglect, the comment moderation page in the other blog I write for was filled with 227 comments, of which 226 are glorious spam.

Spam is a annoyance when you look at its cleanup as a chore. Of course when writing your masterpiece of a blog post, you don’t silently wish that a thousand spammers turn out and fill up your moderation queue. You want insightful and well thought out comments and responses to your intellectual musings. But if you really think about it, spam can bring you insights well beyond your average legitimate blog comment.

How else could I have known that I don’t have to be an average guy any longer (though I admit that their phrasing is somewhat contradictory and confusing)? Or who will enlighten me about the wonders of modern science like Cialis? How else could I have known where to look for naked videos of Britney? Or by looking at the video known that she was asian? Legitimate comments are never as insightful or informative. Akismet is such a waste of money!

Of course, after partaking in this wonderful cup of knowledge, I always make it a point to keep all the loot to myself. So I promptly erase all the spam comments. I also set it so they’ll be moderated by default. This way, I would have a real great advantage over other people.

But today I’ve been taken over by a generous spirit. For the first time, I will share this great fount of knowledge to all of you. If you look below you will see an overgrown thumbnail of our spam moderation page. Click it to see it in its full glory (note: you may have to click it again to show full size, if your wuss of a browser resizes it to make it fit in it’s small window).

Note that it is about 1/8th of our spam moderation page. Giving you everything could overload your neural pathways with more knowledge than it might be able to handle at once. So take great care and prepare yourself before clicking. With great power comes great responsibility.
